1. Summary

We use a small, defined set of cookies and equivalent browser storage to operate this website (stralines.com) and the Stralines Trade platform (trade.stralines.com). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The categories below are accurate and complete.

2. Essential Cookies and Storage (platform)

The Stralines Trade platform sets the following strictly-necessary items:

  • CSRF token — a short-lived cookie that verifies state-changing requests originate from a legitimate session. Cleared on logout.
  • Authentication JWT — stored in browser localStorage as nexus_token. Lifetime: 7 days. Cleared on logout or on any 401 response.
  • Gate token — stored in localStorage where applicable to gate access flows. Lifetime: per session.
  • Cookie consent record — cookie_consent_v1 in localStorage to remember your banner choice. No expiry; remove via the revocation steps below.

3. Analytics (product analytics — PostHog)

Both this website and the platform use PostHog, a privacy-respecting product-analytics tool, to understand aggregate usage (pages viewed, features used, conversion steps) so we can improve the product. PostHog requests are served first-party through our own domain (a reverse proxy at /ingest) rather than a third-party ad network. We do not use this data for advertising and do not sell it. 4. No advertising cookies

We do not set advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies (no Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or similar). If we ever add optional cookies beyond the analytics described above, we will re-prompt for consent and update this page.

5. Retention windows

CSRF tokens are cleared when the browser tab closes. The authentication JWT lasts 7 days or until logout. Consent records are retained as part of our audit ledger for record-keeping (DPDP Act 2023, Section 6). Analytics events are retained for a rolling analysis window and then aggregated.

6. Revocation

To revoke optional consent or wipe stored cookies, clear your browser's site data for stralines.com and trade.stralines.com. To request deletion of your stored consent record from our database, email privacy@stralines.com.
